What makes the Noboards interesting for us?
The winter sports market offers many options to maximize fun in the snow—from classic sleds to modern snowskates. In this test report, we take a close look at the TEEZZEE Noboards, which position themselves somewhere between a snowboard and a traditional sled. What makes these boards special, why are they so interesting for us in youth development, and do they deliver on the manufacturer's promises? We put them to the test.
What makes the Noboards special?
The Noboards by TEEZZEE are marketed as children's snowboards for sledding hills and offer several unique features that set them apart from other equipment. They do not require bindings; instead, they can be used with regular winter boots. Steering is done by shifting your weight, and the lack of sharp edges minimizes the risk of injury. They are lightweight, portable, and more affordable than conventional snowboards. A promising concept that we were eager to test.
Do the Noboards deliver on their promises?– A user report
Our test during a coaching event shows: The Noboard provides a truly impressive riding experience that is almost addictive. The board leaves a positive impression: It feels high-quality, is featherlight, yet stable at the same time. During the first few runs, you immediately notice that the board glides smoothly while providing stability—almost like riding on rails. Steering by shifting your weight works excellently and provides a genuine skate or surf feel. The non-slip standing surface helps ensure safe riding without bindings. It is a lot of fun and leaves you wanting more after every run.
Another highlight: When going back up, there is no need to deal with buckling in and out. The board can simply be towed behind with a practical tow rope, increasing convenience and safety. This allows for quick repeat runs without unnecessary breaks.
Limitations of the Noboards
It is important to note that the Noboards are only limitedly suitable for alpine use on demanding slopes. On hard or steeper slopes, control is more difficult due to the lack of steel edges. However, this is clearly communicated by the manufacturer and does not represent a major disadvantage for the intended area of use.
Conclusion: A fun device that promotes physical activity
The enthusiasm of the kids who won one of the boards as a prize or were able to try it out at our test stations is understandable. The Noboards not only offer a lot of fun but also promote the physical development of aspiring snowboarders. The concept is particularly suitable for training on local sledding hills, although there are limitations for alpine use. When used correctly, they introduce children to the feel and fun of board sports.
We are delighted to have TEEZZEE Noboards as a great partner by our side and will continue to use the boards intensively in our activities at Snowboard Bayern. We look forward to the upcoming season!
